چکیده

Hundreds of quantitative trait locus (QTL) have been reported in diverse types hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) populations but direct comparisons QTLs different studies and are still challenging due to the lack physical positions for most QTLs. Here, we used International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium (IWGSC) RefSeq v2.0 map all markers associated with leaf spot (Ls), rust (Lr), stripe (Yr), common bunt (Cbt) resistance two recombinant inbred lines (RIL) populations. QTL mapping was conducted using IWGSC 3,158 5,732 markers, disease severity data Peace/Carberry Attila/CDC Go evaluated 3–8 environments. We uncovered a total 82 Yr (36), Ls (18), Lr (15), Cbt (13) individual overall means Among them, 29 were combined environments, which accounted 0.5-20.9% individually 12.4–41.2% per trait. Three (QLr.dms-2D.2, QLs.dms-5B, QYr.dms-5B.2) both Fourteen out stable as they identified Ten chromosome arms harbored cluster 2–4 diseases. This methodology would serve one resources compare based on improved information instead population-specific consensus linkage maps. article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved

Leaf, Stem, and Stripe Rust Diseases of Wheat

Introduction Rust diseases of wheat are among the oldest plant diseases known to humans. Early literature on wheat cultivation mentions these devastating diseases and their ability to destroy entire wheat crops. Since rust discovery, numerous studies have been conducted on the life cycles of rust pathogens and their management. The information gained from these studies has enabled us to develop...

Molecular marker mapping of leaf rust resistance gene lr46 and its association with stripe rust resistance gene yr29 in wheat.

ABSTRACT Leaf and stripe rusts, caused by Puccinia triticina and P. striiformis, respectively, are globally important fungal diseases of wheat that cause significant annual yield losses. A gene that confers slow rusting resistance to leaf rust, designated as Lr46, has recently been located on wheat chromosome 1B. The objectives of our study were to establish the precise genomic location of gene...

Leaf Rust of Wheat: Pathogen Biology, Variation and Host Resistance

Rusts are important pathogens of angiosperms and gymnosperms including cereal crops and forest trees. With respect to cereals, rust fungi are among the most important pathogens. Cereal rusts are heteroecious and macrocyclic requiring two taxonomically unrelated hosts to complete a five spore stage life cycle. Cereal rust fungi are highly variable for virulence and molecular polymorphism. Leaf r...

Genetics of leaf rust resistance in spring wheat cultivars alsen and norm.

ABSTRACT Alsen is a recently released spring wheat cultivar that has been widely grown in the United States because it has resistance to Fusarium head blight and leaf rust caused by Puccinia triticina. Norm is a high yielding wheat cultivar that has been very resistant to leaf rust since it was released. Alsen and Norm were genetically examined to determine the number and identity of the leaf r...
